3nity Softwares' KryptoFiler will help you protect your private files and restrict unauthorized access to private files. Or to put it in other words, you can use the KryptoFiler application to encrypt and password protect files. Multiple ciphers are available for the encryption; the correct password must be provided to decrypt an encrypted file. The application integrates with Windows Explorer so you can easily encrypt and decrypt files from the right click context menu.

KryptoFiler provides support for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. A simple setup wizard will help you install KryptoFiler on a PC that runs a supported version of Microsoft’s Windows operating system.

From top to bottom, you will see the following on KryptoFiler’s interface:
Input file – the file that will be encrypted.
Output file – the resulting encrypted file.
Options – pick a cipher for the encryption, select a hash algorithm, enter a passphrase and confirm it.
Encrypt/decrypt – buttons to initiate the encryption/decryption process.

Encrypting and decrypting files with KryptoFiler is a very straightforward matter. I invite you to watch the Quick Look video that accompanies this article to see just how easy it is to encrypt and decrypt a file with KryptoFiler.

KryptoFiler provides support for multiple encryption ciphers: 3DES, Blowfish, Cast128, DES, Ice, Ice2, RC2, RC4, RijnDael, Serpent, Tea, Thin Ice, TwoFish.
KryptoFiler provides support for multiple hash algorithms: Haval, MD4, MD5, RipeMD-128, RipeMD-160, SHA1, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512, Tiger.
KryptoFiler integrates with Windows Explorer. Right click a file and you will see two entries in the context menu: “Encrypt with KryptoFiler” and “Decrypt with KryptoFiler.”

KryptoFiler is free software.

Get KryptoFiler and use it to easily encrypt files. Rest assured that no one will be able to access a file that’s been encrypted with KryptoFiler.

Pros

KryptoFiler works with any Windows edition from XP onward; a simple setup wizard will get KryptoFiler up and running on a Windows PC. KryptoFiler integrates with Windows Explorer or the right click context menu. Multiple encryption ciphers and hash algorithms are available. Using KryptoFiler to encrypt and decrypt files is an effortless task (see the Quick Look video that accompanies this article). KryptoFiler is free software.

Cons

None that I could think of.
